Oct 22, 2026Hoisting Recursive Flint Aboard Hermes: A Pirate's Guide to Running a 40B MoE LocallyA complete, verified log of running Recursive's 39.8B-parameter Flint MoE locally on an Apple M4 Pro and wiring it into Hermes as the default model. Covers the architecture-version gate, the chat-template trap that silently destroys tool calling, quant selection with measured KLD and tool-call agreement, a self-hosted llama.cpp install, launchd persistence, and every measured number. Written so an agent can repeat it without making the same mistakes.local-llmllama-cpphermes-agentmoeapple-siliconquantization
Jul 6, 2026The Sovereign Loop: Why Model-Local AI Is the Missing Operating System LayerGLM-5.2 runs locally on four workstation GPUs. Context engineering has become agent-harness engineering. Here's why sovereignty isn't a niche interest — it's the missing operating system layer, and the argument I make at length in Sovereign AI.sovereign-ailocal-aiai-agentsmoecontext-engineeringsovereignty
Mar 29, 2026The Architecture of Autonomy: Why the Divergence Between Corporate and Sovereign AI Is the Most Important Design Decision of Our GenerationA deep technical and philosophical examination of what it means to design AI systems that serve the individual versus AI systems designed to extract from them—and how the Dynamic MoE RAG architecture embodies the principles of sovereign intelligence in code.AIsovereign AIlocal AIMoERAGDynamic Persona
