The problem

Creative tools report success constantly while doing nothing. A dissolve that never applied, a keyframe that animated nothing, a mask that rendered anyway — each returned exit code zero. A pipeline that trusts exit codes ships broken films confidently.

How it works

01Validate the project specification before any expensive generation runs.
02Probe capabilities: a binary that exists is not a binary that works.
03Record every step as verified (a measurement is attached) or requested_only (the tool accepted it; nothing checked it).
04Refuse to export when the transition count does not match the spec.
